We believe true empowerment begins with economic independence. Through financial literacy workshops, skill-building programs, and entrepreneurship support, JQC equips LGBTQIA+ individuals with the tools to create self-reliant, dignified lives. From launching small businesses to accessing government schemes, we help our community turn dreams into sustainable realities.
1. Livelihood & Financial Literacy Training
We believe economic independence is a vital form of empowerment. Our financial literacy sessions train queer individuals in budgeting, saving, digital banking, and running micro-businesses.
Participants are also linked to livelihood schemes and government programs.
Impact: 100+ queer individuals have started small enterprises—tailoring, food carts, craft stalls—and many opened their first bank accounts, ensuring long-term financial independence.
2. Satrangi Mela – Celebrating Queer Creativity
A vibrant marketplace where queer artists and entrepreneurs exhibit their talent and build their businesses. From handmade crafts to food stalls and performances, this mela is about pride and prosperity.
Impact: 25+ queer entrepreneurs launched public ventures. Stories like Shaira Kinnar’s saree business inspire others to dream big and achieve economic self-reliance.

Any LGBTQIA+ individual, especially from marginalized, tribal, or low-income backgrounds in Jharkhand, is welcome to participate.
You should be 18 years or older, identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community, and have a willingness to learn, grow, and work towards financial independence.
Participants receive free financial literacy training, skills workshops (like small business management), mentorship, and connections to real livelihood opportunities and government schemes.
